The view of the lake is really pretty (you’ll see boats leaving and arriving), the room is well‑exposed and bright, it’s close to the train station and runs alongside a nice historic street, everything is perfectly clean and the staff are very friendly and kind. The space between the foot of the bed and the wall, and between the toilet, shower and sink, is small; there is no decor; and a kettle with one or two tea bags would have been nice.

The breakfast is adequate but lacks variety; there are no fresh fruits or plain yogurt. The problem isn’t the hotel’s fault: the place welcomes all guests, but some people’s behavior disrupts the peace, especially during breakfast in a rather cramped room; many would prefer an “adult only” setting because children are noisy in front of parents who are blissfully unaware. See above for the negative point.

The welcome was great.

It was lovely to see the lake from our room, breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and refreshed each day. Despite the no‑smoking signs, there was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the building. We had our window open but smokers on the balcony below us were smoking, so the smoke entered our window – probably best to keep windows closed.
