The spot is quiet and sits on a beautiful beach, but calling it a hostel is misleading—prices are sky‑high, $15 for a bike is outrageous, and the owner looks like an irritable European. I’d not recommend it to backpackers.

The price was fair, the hotel sits close to the main beach and isn’t expensive, and the beds are big. However, the night facilities were very dirty and the hot water wasn’t reliable. The front‑desk staff were often unpleasant to us, although the rest of the hotel staff were friendly, just that one person was uncomfortable.

The hostel offered large, comfortable beds, was near the beachfront, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. The downside was the long walk to shops and restaurants on Longset Beach, plus the bathrooms were in a separate building outside, so you had to step out and deal with hot sand on your feet each time. The staff weren’t the friendliest, and the doors lacked locks or keys, so it didn’t feel very secure.

The beach is beautiful. But beware of bedbugs – I found them and didn’t sleep the night because I didn’t want to risk bringing them on me. I informed the staff, who reacted with a nonchalant, arrogant attitude, saying “we’ll clean the bed” as if that mattered. I don’t think they did anything, so unless you’re okay with potentially ending up with bedbugs in your luggage and having to throw everything away, avoid this place. The management’s response was unprofessional and unworthy of a three‑star hotel.

The location is amazing and the beds have plenty of space. It’s a bit pricey, but the location justifies it.
