The location works well if you’re heading to the Kerikeri Yacht Club; it’s only a two‑minute drive away.
“Disappointing especially no privacy”
The surrounding nature is great, but it’s not suitable for a long stay because there’s no kitchen, no nearby shops, no privacy, and it’s noisy from upstairs early in the morning. The water pump next to the room also makes noise.
The hosts were friendly and thoughtful. The apartment was clean, and they refreshed the milk and coffee daily, even providing red lights so we could spot kiwi at night, which are plentiful in the neighborhood. It rained a lot, but they were very responsive and brought in a dehumidifier the same day. The only drawback was that it was a bit far—15‑20 minutes from Kerikeri and 40 minutes from Paihia—so we had to drive to get to any restaurants, but the area was peaceful and we probably wouldn’t have seen kiwi in the wild anywhere else.
