“Served the purpose of walking to the Premadasa stadium”
It’s close to the Colombo cricket stadium, but it’s located in a banquet hall in a very low‑income area with no worthwhile eating places.

I was forced to cancel my reservation at the last minute, likely because Sri Lanka had a cricket match that night.

The spot right next to the cricket ground is unbeatable, and the room was spotless with staff who were super friendly and helpful.

I had arranged to arrive with a friend after contacting the hotel in advance, but the manager never bothered to greet us, shut the hotel down, and fell asleep. We had to knock on the security office door, which was impossible to find unless a random local worker happened to know where it was. The room they handed us wasn’t ready; it felt like a cheap, run‑down place with dead bugs, hair, and cockroach legs on the pillows. It was a total mess. They swapped the sheets when we asked, but they didn’t turn on the hot water as we requested, so I had to climb under the ceiling to fix it myself. The interior from reception to rooms looked like a cheap, flashy “gypsy” style that doesn’t match the photos, and the view from the window was a view of slums—just awful.

The lack of breakfast was a minor disappointment, but there are decent restaurants close by.
