This solid, pretty hotel is in a prime spot right across from the station, with very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and unbeatable prices. The city itself isn’t very touristy, so you get a real taste of authentic food and atmosphere, making it a smart base for regional day trips. We used it as a stopover for our onomichi.

Breakfast opened a bit late, and there was always a long line when it opened at 7

We stayed to head to Tomonoura, and because Fuchiyama Station is close, it was convenient to catch the bus to Tomo Port. We opted for a room with a view of Fuchiyama Castle, which looked very clean and gave a rewarding feeling. The bathroom and toilet were separate, the building and room were tidy, and the staff were kind and satisfied us.
