How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was quiet and just a short walk from Moustiers centre. Julie, the owner, was attentive and very helpful with restaurant tips, making us feel welcome. The room was spacious with a private garden to sit outside and enjoy the warm evening. I couldn’t fault anything, even though the wild boar gave us a bit of a fright on our way home; they quickly scattered and searched for walnuts elsewhere.

The location was ideal below the town, which also explains the presence of an air‑conditioner that supposedly isn’t allowed in the historic centre. It’s a good base for hikes, but a car is required. The setting is quiet, with a private parking spot and friendly hosts who let us check in early on our own. The breakfast and common room come with a fridge for your own provisions, and a range of drinks is available at a reasonable price. The beds are large and comfortable. The power‑socket issue that some guests mentioned was solved with a distribution board in a convenient spot. We stayed only three nights, and it was perfect for us; for a longer stay, space might be an issue.

We arrived and nobody greeted us; we had to ask other guests how to get in through the gate. Once inside the room, a really unpleasant odor made it impossible to stay, so we left the premises. We were exhausted from the trip and could not wait to rest, yet it was impossible to remain inside. We called the manager, who immediately shouted at us, saying it wasn’t possible and told us to leave, claiming he would refund us—an offer that never materialized. We travel frequently, staying in places from 3‑star to 5‑star, in apartments and B&Bs, and never experienced such treatment; we will remember it. Why should we have invented such a scenario? We also struggled to find another hotel room and had to drive 50 km on a winding road to spend the night. I’ve never given this rating before, but it doesn’t deserve anything else!

We received a very warm welcome, enjoyed excellent breakfasts, and had a great relationship with Julie; we had a magnificent stay!
