“It could have been so much better.”
We spent three nights at RedDoorz near Balekambang City Park, which sits in a quiet neighbourhood. The young man at reception was kind and tried his best to be hospitable, and with a translation app we managed to communicate a bit. At arrival we had to request clean bedding. On the second evening water was briefly unavailable in our room, and we experienced bad‑smelling black water in the toilet twice; the second time a staff member cleaned it. On the second day, during heavy rain, the ceiling leaked, so we were moved to another room, whose bedding also needed changing first. The air‑conditioning was very weak and noisy, the bathroom had an unpleasant odor, the metal bathroom door made a lot of noise, Wi‑Fi was unstable, there were no curtains in the second room, and both rooms had a small window above the door that didn’t provide privacy.
