Travelodge by Wyndham Santee

There was some kind of critter in that room that I heard scratching at 3:00 am. I turned the light on and it scurried away. I think it was a small mouse. I looked around and couldn’t find it, so I left the light on and sat up in bed for the rest of the night. I told the desk when I checked out. They were not shocked and said they’d have maintenance look at it. I will not stay there again.

“HIghly recommend this clean, comfy property that is a super value.”

I had a very low opinion of this brand, but after reading so many good reviews, I gave it a shot. WHAT AN AWESOME FIND! Super clean, newly renovated. White bedding, comfy mattress. Vinyl plank flooring. The owner was very proud of the renovations (deservedly so!). We often pass through Santee and now have made this our motel of choice and have recommended it to our friends. Also, it felt very safe, which is super important. Best bang for your buck!

“This would be a great hotel and service if the right people managed it properly, cleaning needs to be a priority and som”

I arrived at 11pm and the front desk lady was quite rude, refusing to explain anything and even spoke to me through a door; as a woman she made me stand outside alone and had me fill out forms before handing me the keys. The room itself wasn’t cleaned properly—mirrors, floors, and TV were dirty, though the bed was clean. The decor was nice, but the staff really let it down.

“A very good value”

The king bed was very comfortable and offered excellent value; my two dogs enjoyed the room and the pet rate was very reasonable. Breakfast was an added benefit, but the property is poorly lit at night.
