The room was nice, though it felt a bit cold before bed.

The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, letting us pick from three rooms when we got there; the guesthouse was fully booked due to a schools rugby festival and town lodging was full, the pool was beautiful though the weather didn’t allow swimming, and we enjoyed the verandah outside the room while it was still light. However, it was hard to alert the guesthouse on arrival without calling, parking was awkward until the host let us use the next‑door property, there was no soap or shampoo in the shower, and there were no bedside lights.

The room was clean and quiet, but I struggled to reach the owner upon arrival, the electric blanket only heated one side, the heater was broken, and the bathroom lights were too dim and likely need replacement.
