The spot was spot on, but the breakfast left a lot to be desired and the staff seemed clueless about food allergens, plus the 5th‑floor traffic noise was pretty loud.

Night‑time staff were friendly and engaging, the beds were comfy, the city view was amazing, and getting to local restaurants and shops was a breeze, yet the bath towels were stained and the day‑time desk employee was not very friendly or approachable.

The room was spotless and well arranged, and the shower was a real plus because my wife has trouble getting into a tub, but the USB port on the lamp didn’t work.

The hotel is clean, well run, and the staff are helpful and courteous, and it’s within walking distance of Newport on the Levee and the Megacorp venue, but the walkability of the area is something Newport should improve (not the hotel’s fault); the street in front of the hotel can be an adventure to cross when heading to Megacorp, and accessing Newport on the Levee often means dealing with traffic or a sketchy back way—though it’s all workable and worth the proximity.
