“Danke für den netten Aufenthalt im Goldenen Lamm!”

I felt very comfortable and appreciated that Mr Werner let me leave my luggage in the hotel after check‑out. Fruit and bottled water in the room were very thoughtful, not many hotels do that. The breakfast selection was absolutely fine. I slept very well. The location is very convenient. The check‑in times could be a bit longer, but there’s an alternative key‑boy with a code. Other than that I can’t find any negatives, because Knut Werner is very dedicated to his guests, especially the warm welcome from Hans Georg.

“Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Idstein”

The hotel sits right in the old town, and the elevator is a definite plus. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were friendly. Everything felt very clean and tidy, so I'd love to return again. However, the seating in room 22 was uncomfortable and didn’t invite relaxation; the narrow wardrobe could use at least two extra shelves, and the pillows throughout the property were useless, always clumped.

“Gern wieder, wenn es zur Reise passt! Empfehlenswert”

A charming little hotel right in the city center, with a parking lot just a 5‑minute walk away since there’s no on‑site parking. The breakfast was simple but good, and I appreciated that they didn’t serve scrambled eggs from a Tetra Pak, which is becoming common (the salmon is only available on Sundays as a weekend highlight). They offer a wide range of breads and fresh fruit, and the very friendly staff will happily accommodate special requests, like salmon. Late arrivals are possible thanks to a key‑card machine.
