The host was wonderful and made us feel truly welcome; the house is beautiful and very near the city centre, plus there’s private parking. The bed was uncomfortable with a sunken mattress, the overhead shower didn’t work, and the sink plug was also broken.

The accommodation was pretty, the host was friendly, and walking or taking the bus from the train station was convenient. The old town and the cathedral were easily reachable on foot, and the breakfast was a nice little treat.

The location was very good, just a short walk from Chartres’ historic centre. The room was well arranged and the bathroom spacious. The breakfast was good, though a bit modest, which mattered because I eat a lot in the morning. The sound insulation between rooms was poor, so we could hear our neighbours’ conversations, which was a pity.
