The room was very pretty, the hostel staff were friendly and helpful, and the courtyard was lovely, but the kitchen was tiny and not fully equipped; also the temple tour we booked through the hostel was disappointing for the price.

The hostel’s location is great—close to the kraton and other sights—and the dorm has four single beds, so no stress about top or bottom bunks; the toilet and bathroom are inside the dorm, so no need to leave the room. The manager, Okky, is an incredible host, the cleaning lady is kind and sweet, and other guests are friendly with good vibes. However, the towels smelled funny, so the staff might need more detergent; I used my own. The bathroom floor clogs quickly with hair and suds, requiring frequent cleaning. The blankets were actually just scarves, so proper blankets would be better for the cold nights with AC.

It’s only good for one night, but you won’t be able to sleep there. I booked two days, but after the first night I moved to another hostel. It’s only suitable for tourists who don’t like sleeping at night and enjoy drinking alcohol and shouting all night. The toilet in the room, the sink is very small and you can’t wash properly. I don’t know who writes good reviews, probably the staff themselves. The hostel is very small, working on a laptop is very inconvenient. It was very noisy until 2 am. Staff, tourists, and friends were drinking alcohol and shouting. At night the AC was turned off and it got hot.
