The 4‑star rating was misleading. Total lack of maintenance: doors were loose, cleaning was subpar, bathroom fixtures were faulty. The first room we got had a door that opened onto a fridge that wouldn’t close, too many cluttered furnishings, a decorative outlet fell to the floor. They didn’t inspect rooms beforehand, so we had to be moved.

A simple hotel, good breakfast, comfortable bed, free parking, a bus stop just a few meters away, and it takes about 5 minutes to reach the city center—if you’re up for walking you can skip the bus. The parking entrance is by stairs, which isn’t great when you have luggage. The room smelled bad when the AC was off, the wooden window was warped, making it hard to open and close.

We stayed at Puy du Fou and it’s a great option, 10 minutes by car from the park. It has its own parking, which is a big help because Toledo’s parking is tricky. Breakfast is modest but very good and complete, constantly restocked, and the staff are very friendly in every way. We had a very good stay, and although it’s a bit far from Toledo, the hotel has a bus stop at its door that drops you right in the center. If you’re heading to Puy du Fou, it’s a solid choice.

It was cold; the AC didn’t act as a heater and the floors got chilly. I suggest putting a carpet under the bed that extends outward.
