The hotel sits in a quiet spot, offers free parking, and public transport to the National Mall and Washington Nationals Park is easy.

The spot is perfect for visiting Washington DC – a bus stop is within a 10‑minute walk straight into town, about 15 minutes overall. The apartment has plenty of space, a comfy bed, a sofa, and a handy fridge. The shower and toilet work fine for a solo stay. Several shops are just over the hill on the main road, roughly a 10‑minute walk away. I’d stay here again. The steep hill from the main road is much harder going up than down, and a chair for TV viewing would be better – the bed is too far and the stool isn’t ideal.

Overall, I had a good stay. The unit was spacious, especially the bedroom and living room/entry area, and I liked having a private entrance, which made it feel separate and comfortable. Parking was available for guests with a car, and the host was responsive and available whenever I needed help. The property is uphill, which can be tough if you’re carrying heavy bags. The bathroom was quite small, and the showerhead faced the wall, making it a bit inconvenient. There weren’t many grocery stores or food options within easy walking distance, so having a car is definitely helpful.

The place was clean, the owner was kind, and I had no problems. I had to wait a month for the security deposit back and had to remind the owner, but once reminded she handled it immediately, which was appreciated. This could also have been because I used a money transfer app that she doesn’t often use, and the money was sent by someone who is not myself, so the name didn’t match the booking. I can see how it might get overlooked, and with it being handled quickly I’m not upset about it.
