“Die Lage deines Zimmers bestimmt den Gesamteindruck.”

We stayed at the Waldhorn for the second time, and the breakfast—especially the wide variety—was outstanding. The hotel was very clean and offered plenty of parking spots, and they even let our dog join us at breakfast, which isn’t common in hotels. The room’s location, however, really affected the overall impression: we were again in the side building, but this time the room faced the street instead of the forest like it did on our first visit, so at exactly 5 am we were woken by loud conversations and the honking of cars. On top of that, the air‑conditioning unit made intermittent scratching noises that sounded like someone was using a steel brush on a vent pipe.
