We were greeted warmly and cordially right from the start, and Allan and Yvonne took the time to share useful tips about the area. The breakfast was truly amazing, complete with everything you could want. The rooms were impeccably clean and the view over the mountains was breathtaking. The surroundings felt like a real paradise, and the pool was a great bonus. In short, everything was spot on and we look back on the stay with great pleasure. Absolutely recommended and a place we’d love to return to.

“Eine sehr liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft mit dem Wunsch wiederzukommen”

A great little spot, very well maintained, within walking distance of Franschhoek. Alan and his wife run a fantastic place there, everything is kept in top condition. There’s a pool and a small lake, and the breakfast is fantastic—fruit, tasty bread, perfect omelette! In the evenings, John watches over the property and lights the fireplace in the cottage if needed. We hope to come back again!

Allen & Yvonne are two very, very kind people who make you feel at home. The estate is phenomenal, and the rooms and breakfast are superb. The property is a bit out of town, which makes it very quiet. You can walk into town, but I recommend taking an Uber, which is very cheap and easy. On clear days, Allan lights the fireplace and offers wine from his own vineyard. It’s pure vacation. Thanks for the wonderful time.

Absolutely beautiful stay. The service was exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The property is peaceful and surrounded by stunning scenery. Despite traveling alone, I felt so well taken care of and truly enjoyed our time at L’Auberge Chanteclair. Highly recommended
