“Very comfortable and clean accommodation, excellently located and yummy breakfast”
The location is great, the place is spotless, the check‑in was efficient, and the breakfast was excellent.
“Overall we enjoyed our stay”
The location was very good, the welcome and room were excellent, and the breakfast was cooked to order and tasty. The fan in the toilet was very noisy and ran on a timer for a few minutes, and parking could be difficult because patrons of the next‑door hotel parked inconsistently.
Daniella was a lovely host, nothing was too much trouble, and there were many special touches that made my stay very comfortable.
“Delightful property and wonderful host.”
The room was large and clean, with lovely little touches, and the breakfast was wonderful.
“Perfect B&B for exploring Hadrian's Wall.”
I really enjoyed my stay at Shaftoes; Daniela the host was friendly and helpful, the whole property was modern and spotless, the bedroom was a good size with a chair and desk for laptop use, the bed was very comfortable, and there was a fridge for guests. It’s close to the bridge over the South Tyne, convenient for the village shops, and the local inn just across the bridge, The General Havelock, offers nice meals. It’s also handy for exploring sites along Hadrian’s Wall. I would love to stay here again. Nothing to dislike; it was a perfect B & B.
