The staff were really good and went out of their way to help. The hotel’s location overlooks tea plantations and is a nice area for hiking. The room had open ventilation above the balconies, and after dinner I found my room infested with bugs; the rooms need something to prevent bugs from getting in and the beds need nets.
The young couple running the hotel are absolute sweethearts - they're so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is bright and airy, with a spacious living room on the first floor, and the hot water is always available. The views from the balcony are simply stunning, especially during sunset.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this place met my expectations - it was exactly what I was looking for. Nothing to complain about, really.
“Excellent”
The caretakers were excellent; with short notice they prepared tasty and fresh food for our group. We spent the days resting after climbing Sri Pada (Adams Peak), and the location was excellent as a resting place when visiting Sri Pada, Maskeliya, Norwood, and Hatton.
The hotel's location was a major plus, but it was a shame about the cleanliness of the room. The blankets were ridiculously dusty, and it was clear they hadn't been washed in ages. I also noticed that the staff treated locals and foreigners differently, which was a bit off-putting.
