When I came in summer, the place was great. My room was roomy and spotless, opening onto a balcony with a table and chair that caught the afternoon sun. The attached bathroom had an electric drying rack, so my clothes dried after a rainy walk. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room was nice. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth. It would have been flawless if every facility matched the description. I appreciated the early check‑in because bus options were limited. I expected the advertised bicycle rental to get to the Cold War Museum, but the host wasn’t there and no bikes were available, so I walked 25 km, looping around the lake instead of backtracking 11 km which would have been dull. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work at all: it connected, but there was no internet, a second login page popped up automatically, and after logging in it just said disconnected. I had no credit on my phone to call anyone, and the only way to top up was online. The interior was freezing cold, no heating, and the duvet was very thin. When I finally got Wi‑Fi again on the train to my next stop, I received a strange message that day around noon saying I had disconnected the security cameras—apparently I had been at the Cold War Museum then, and I only saw the message after I left.

The host was especially nice and friendly. I was allowed to use the kitchen and enjoy the harvest from his garden. On Sunday he took me to the market.
