The place was spotless, stylish, and perfectly located.
The breakfast was fairly ordinary, and the split‑level layout in the room posed a risk for seniors.

From the moment we checked in, your manager Jason was very attentive, especially after we found an insect in our toilet. He had already prepared a room to accommodate our changing needs, and a wooden platform that had protruded and posed a safety risk was addressed immediately. Aside from that, everything was great.

Location is reasonably close to the Jiuzhaigou park entrance (20 minutes cab ride away) and the closest of any international 5 star hotel. There are still shops around the hotel, so there are other (albeit limited) dining options beyond the hotel's restaurant and a local provision store nearby. The grounds are lovely and the restaurant staff provided excellent service. The breakfast is very good and the set dinner options for two come in very large portions. Bed mattress was too soft. Pillow menu limited guests to one pillow only of each type, so if both you and your partner like the same type of pillow, one has to do without it. There is no concierge, just reception staff who are not all well versed in the surrounding's information. When we asked a reception staff if we needed to bring our passports for admission to the Jiuzhaigou Park, he had no idea and told us to check the Park's official website ourselves. I would expect 95% if not 100% of the guests stay there to visit the Jiuzhaigou Park, so for the staff not to know such basic information is rather astounding and disappointing at the same time. When we called for a buggy to bring us to the lobby, the buggy came by our unit and the driver told us to wait while he went to fetch someone else. After waiting for almost 10 minutes we decided to walk to the lobby ourselves. When we got there the buggy had still not returned to the lobby. The hotel should have sent two separate buggies in such an instance. The housekeeping service was also below expectation for a 5-star hotel. While the pillows on the bed had cleanly pressed linen the spare pillows in the closet looked like the covers had been slept on by previous guests and not changed. We had to ask them to be changed. Cups washed were not placed in their original locations. The coffee machine was dismantked to wash and empty the capsules but was not put back together again. The power point for the coffee machine was faulty and had to be repaired
