The location is excellent, close to the airport.
“Very old uncomfortable escalator room everything old broke”
There’s nothing else but the location; everything else is very, very, very old.
“Stayed here many times, it’s like home from home.”
The doorman was friendly and helpful, and the location is good, but checking in takes forever even though you’re booked and paid for in advance.
The staff were nice and the bed comfortable, but the air conditioning was so loud it felt like a truck in the room, making it impossible to sleep.
Just leave here! If you value your life and health, make a huge detour around Niran Grand Hotel in Bangkok. What travelers describe in reviews borders on criminal negligence. This completely dilapidated place had its hey‑day 40 years ago and now feels like a ticking time bomb. ⚠️ THE ABSOLUTE HORROR BRAND October 2025 a dead body: Recently a severe, devastating fire broke out in the adjacent Niran complex! The cause? Years of catastrophic neglect and rotten electronics. The smoke was murderous. While the flames raged, chaos reigned. Guests had to haul their luggage in panic down dark, smoke‑filled stairwells while sirens wailed outside. It’s a miracle to leave alive! ☠️ Catastrophic hygiene: Rooms stink extremely musty from mold and old, rotten carpets. Under the beds you find months of grime, including foreign cigarette butts. Ant colonies and pests roam the bathrooms. The worst part: dirty sewage drips from the ceiling straight into the shower! 🏚️ Shocking condition: The entire property is literally falling apart. Wallpaper peels off walls, AC units are deafeningly loud, and Wi‑Fi barely works. The lobby resembles a donated storage room full of old TVs and cardboard boxes. 🤢 The “pool” of horror: The so‑called rooftop pool is a green, stinky broth of leaves and bird feathers; you can’t even see the bottom! The loungers around it are either filthy or broken. Often the pool is completely closed for “renovation” – obviously without warning. Verdict: This isn’t a hotel; it’s a nightmare. The operators care little about guest safety or health.
