The location is convenient for moving around. The entrance was disorganized and somewhat complicated.

The onsen is good. Granny is doing too much.

It was eclipsed by the rude manager. The manager was absolutely horrible; never had such a rude host in my entire life! She screamed at us for omitting the fact that we had 2 children aged 1 and 3, even though we booked a family room. She chased us out of the establishment. We offered to pay for the babies, as it was an honest mistake. She insisted that we cancel the booking.

The traditional Japanese room was very nice, and the front lady was actually really nice and spoke very good English; she gave me a quick guide to navigate Hakone, which was really helpful and gave great food recommendations. The onsen was amazing and clean. The location is really close to the cable car Hakone loop, a 5‑7 minute walk, which was very convenient; because of that we dodged all traffic and even saw Mt. Fuji early in the morning. The place is kinda far from restaurants, so make sure to eat before you check in or you can take a taxi to get some food.
