The hotel's central location, just a block away from the Zocalo, was also a major plus.
My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a bed that was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep every time.
The staff's exceptional service was a highlight, particularly a kind and resourceful employee who went above and beyond to help us secure a taxi to visit the ancient ruins of Teotihuacan when our initial ride-sharing request fell through.
The hotel's overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and unwind.

“Downtown charm, one composer per room.”
The hotel’s dedication to the experience is impressive, especially considering their strict budget limits. Every room is themed after a particular classical composer or performer, and the décor outside the rooms is stunning, while inside it stays a touch more conventional than other places, yet they still include unique paintings, ornaments, and even a turntable in each room. I stayed in the Stravinsky room, which was opened with L'Oiseau de feu—truly beautiful. Don’t expect flawless service; instead, anticipate warmth, practicality, and a super cool place to stay. The downside is that almost no one stays there, which is a shame for such a beautiful venue. I suspect the low occupancy is due to limited parking, and they don’t offer drinks after dark.
The ambience was great, and the clerk at checkout was helpful. However, checking in was confusing, I never got a functioning safe or a luggage rack.
“BIEN A SECAS.”
The location, cleanliness and staff friendliness were good. The Wi‑Fi, across four or five networks, never worked properly during my ten‑day stay, Netflix on the TV was also glitchy, and the air‑conditioning failed to function.
The atmosphere is excellent, and the classical music in the common areas creates a better vibe. The only drawback is that there were no turntables in the room where we stayed.
The décor is consistently creative, featuring a large treasure chest from the 16th century gifted by the beast CORTEZ to his beloved in Puebla. The breakfast was very sparse for a four‑star hotel, and it was noisy despite the sound‑proof windows.
