The owners were especially friendly and caring, which made my stay a lot nicer. They always helped me when I had questions, gave me tips for things to do, and even warned me about an upcoming typhoon when I was traveling further, because they knew my itinerary. I can’t think of anything negative.

It was very cozy, and I liked the restaurant and accommodation aspects. Masa and his wife were adorable. Nothing to complain about.

I had a great time staying at a Japanese guesthouse. The single front room was thoughtfully designed, stayed cool even in hot Tokyo weather, and was overall extremely clean. The hosts know a lot and care about the Sumida Nagaya area where they live, so I really appreciated their local recommendations.

The place is beautifully designed, full of character, and spotless. The room constantly smells of wood, and when it rains you can hear the soothing patter of drops on the roof. The semi‑private room feels a bit cramped on the floor plan—unpacking a standard suitcase next to the hallway takes up a lot of space—but it was still doable for me, and the bed area was pretty roomy. It sits in a quiet residential part of Tokyo, about an 8‑10 minute walk to the nearest Hikifune / Keisei Hikifune station. Masa and Yuri greeted me warmly, and I made many good memories chatting with them in the mornings before heading out. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you’ve already been to Tokyo and want a fresh perspective.
