The hotel was close to the hospital, so I didn’t have to drive far, but the bathtub was dirty, the towels had hair, the toilet seat had black marks, the sink was filthy, the bed sheets were stained, the microwave was filthy, the fridge was filthy, and there was black mold under the headboard. I dropped something and it was there; it was shameful that I slept above that and didn’t notice until checkout.

The bed was uncomfortable.

The air conditioner could be controlled by the occupant. The king bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room, and the TV offered multiple channels. However, the floor in the room was cracked, dipped, and dirty; the tub had stains and the commode was unclean; the sink had no stopper or strainer, so water sprayed everywhere. A two‑inch gap at the bottom of the door and a broken security latch were also issues. Towels and washcloths were stained. Several loiterers were partying outside our room, forcing us to call the manager. He had to fix the TV, but the Wi‑Fi was useless. As a couple in our seventies, we had to climb stairs to reach the second‑floor room.

I stayed at a place that was just filthy, with a spider and hair in the tub, mold everywhere, a sticky floor, and dirty sheets and comforter – the nastiest hotel I've ever been in.
