Circle Bar B Guest Ranch

“Circle Barbie Ranch is a wonderful place to have a group gathering. Their food is excellent. The cabins are very comfort”

I loved that there was so much to do, especially for the kids, and they had plenty of freedom to run around without any curfew by the lodge. However, there were spiders in the cabin windows and wasps on the decks.

“We took our whole family for an anniversary retreat and had an excellent time hanging out, playing games, swimming, hors”

The charm, the family history, the woods setting, the activities for kids of all ages, the cozy cabins, the excellent food, and the great staff all added up. But a wasp swarm attacked cabin 19 while we ate on the patio, and there were a lot of cobwebs inside and outside the cabins—mostly on the windows. The S’more firepit reservations weren’t enforced; 15 people were roasting during our slot, and they left a pile of papers and sticky marshmallows on the benches.

The staff were super nice and accommodating; we arrived late for dinner but they kept it warm and waited for us. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable, and the whole grounds were lovely and quiet. We also enjoyed the fame room and the pool, though the ladder to the upstairs gallery was a bit hard to manage.

“リフレッシュできて親子共に大満足！”

Welcome gifts and drinks made both the kids and me very happy. Everyone on the staff was friendly and gentle, offering help. Dinner and breakfast were included in the stay fee, which was a relief for a family trip. The kids had easy-to-eat menus. The room was clean and spacious, with a TV so we had no trouble during downtime. The view from the room was wonderful, letting us enjoy sunsets and fresh morning air. The environment was very quiet, allowing us to refresh. The only real drawback was that information about night-time s'mores and horse feeding wasn’t provided at check‑in, so we couldn’t plan those activities.

“This should have been a 5 star hotel for the price. It turned out to be a 3 star.”

The food was excellent and the server was helpful. We were surprised to discover we were the only guests at the facility; there was only one other person who didn’t use the bar or lounge. It felt odd to be in a dining room that could hold about 75 to 100 people by ourselves, with no one offering a glass of wine or cocktail. We enjoyed our dinner and then watched TV in our room. When we first arrived at cabin #12, it was extremely hot and we couldn’t get it to cool down. We were told to move to another cabin, but cabin #7 also lacked air conditioning. Each cabin sits on a slight hill, and the only way up is by steps, which is steep for anyone carrying bags. My husband is 84 and I’m 83, neither in great shape, so I asked for help and was told to wait until someone was available. We raised other concerns to the owner. How can there only be two guests on a summer weekend?
