“No kitchen, no BBQ, no basic supplies, and loud construction during our stay.”
We appreciated the nature and the breakfast was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want a basic experience. The “kitchen” is basically just decoration: no kettle, no stovetop, no cutting board, barely any usable utensils, and the knives are so dull they’re almost decorative. The forks were dirty and looked almost rusty, and there wasn’t even a sponge to wash dishes. We asked David about cooking sausages or vegetables; he said there is one grill, but it’s next to his private house, so guests can’t cook anything. We had to drive 30 minutes each way to random cafés twice a day because there is no way to prepare a basic meal on the property. The room smells strongly of old furniture and stale air the moment you walk in. Everything feels very old, dark, and poorly maintained. Basic necessities are another joke: we found half a used toilet paper roll left by previous guests and no extra supply, so you’re expected to bring everything yourself. The owner, David, decided that Sunday at 7 PM was the perfect time to come upstairs and start drilling, hammering, and doing loud renovation work while guests were trying to relax. If you’re looking for a comfortable nature getaway, especially with children, I strongly recommend spending a little more and staying somewhere that actually thinks about its guests.
