We booked the Elizabeth House Hotel six months ahead because of glowing reviews and photos of stylish, updated rooms, but ended up in the neighboring Travelodge, which clearly needs a renovation. It felt like a bait‑and‑switch; we paid a steep price for dirty, moldy rooms with old furniture and bad plumbing.

The room was very nice, the bathroom excellent, the bed comfortable, and it was quiet. The only downside was a blackout screen on the window.

Breakfast was superb and we had a meal the night before. Parking was fine, but we arrived later than expected and it was almost full. The staff were incredibly helpful. We’ll definitely return.
