The hotel was quiet and close to downtown Fergus. The bed was too high for an accessible room.

Parking was free and easy to find. The room decor was very outdated and extremely dark – everything was literally brown except for the bed cover. It had a strong smoker’s odor. We were on the first floor by the lobby, so there was a lot of external noise. Breakfast was cold and tasteless, and the coffee from the machine tasted like battery acid. We were charged an extra fee (about $100?) because my son was also in the room. The total cost was exorbitant – $400. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Canada and abroad, and this was very poor, especially considering the price. We’ve traveled with our son before and never paid that kind of fee for him.

The hotel was clean and well run. The AC was really loud.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location was great, with many shops nearby. I also took a walk on the residential streets and found it nice and the people friendly. The room had a musty smell, but it was tolerable.

The place looks a bit run down and is overpriced for what it offers.
