The location is top. Unfortunately, the inventory seemed a bit mixed up and the room had an unpleasant smell.

The location was fine. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t go as we expected. After arrival we were normally checked into our room and started our stay as per the reservation. We paid in cash on site. That same day, around 21:30, the owner called us asking us to cancel the booking in the app, even though we were already checked in and actually using the room. She said that someone had previously booked the room privately, had cancelled, and that by cancelling ours she could re‑list the room. (We did not cancel our stay.) The next morning we met the owner again, who was urging us to cancel the stay from her side because she claimed there were no “available” rooms on Booking (referring to rooms like ours, i.e. double rooms). After telling her that those rooms were available on the app because we had checked the day before the suspicious call, and just before the conversation she started strangely explaining that someone probably cancelled those reservations and she needed to check with her. After that conversation we had no more contact with her except when handing over the keys. The whole situation raised doubts about her honesty.

We were turned away at the property because they claimed we arrived too late, even though we had updated our arrival time via messages. The reservation said payment would be made on arrival, but after booking we were asked through the messaging system to split the payment between a German and a Polish bank account; suspecting a scam we refused, explaining we’d pay on site. Arriving around 22:20 we were not let in and had to scramble for another place late at night – an experience I’ve never encountered before.
