The large bathrooms with tubs and instant hot water were much appreciated, but the internet was very unstable in the mornings and evenings, and I’m not sure if that’s a current issue or a general problem.

The room was super comfy and fully equipped, and the hotel was quiet with respectful guests so I slept like a baby. I loved the neighborhood, with a park right across the street and hipster streets nearby full of second‑hand shops and restaurants, so I’d definitely return. The breakfast was rather basic – just the usual bread with butter, cheese, tomato, cucumber, or cornflakes and oats with yoghurt, plus some juice and apples – not bad, but pretty mediocre. Also, there were only curtains to block the sun, no curtains for daytime use; the building across the street is very close, so if you needed privacy during the day you had to pull the curtains and lose the sunlight.

The location near the Max Schmeling Hall is great, and the bus and train connections are right outside the hotel, but the hotel is noisy, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, and the shower water didn’t drain.

The room and bedding are fine, but the front desk staff seemed uninterested when checking in.
