The place sits in a great spot with mountain views from the courtyard, a tidy and green setting, and the house itself is spacious and airy. Blankets were provided, lounge chairs on the veranda let us comfortably watch the mountains at night, and the kitchen had everything needed plus a coffee machine. The beds were cozy, the blankets warm, and there were large dining tables both inside and on the veranda. Walking to Mikuľchyna’s main street takes 7 minutes, a car ride is 3 minutes on a decent dirt road. The street hosts many eateries and a large Tavařia supermarket is a 10‑minute walk away. The staff member responded quickly if questions arose. Two nights were cool, but the host turned on the heating and we stayed comfortable. A mountain stream runs nearby; the water is cold but we could dip our feet, and local kids even waded up to their waist. The downside was that when we arrived, the staff were absent, so we had to call to find out how to enter, where the keys were, and how everything worked. The house is meant for two couples, but the interior soundproofing is weak; the stairs creak, so we were lucky to be just the two of us. That’s just how wooden houses behave. When the washing machine ran, the whole house shook, and the fridge plug kept falling out of the socket. We also decided to buy wine and asked the staff where to get it, as we weren’t sure about prices or sellers. The staff sold us wine at three times the local market price in Yaremche, and we only learned the real prices the next day, which was a bit shocking; honestly, the taste wasn’t much different from the market.
