How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
I had a wonderful time at Château de Bû! The surroundings were beautiful, the atmosphere charming, and it was a lovely place to unwind; everything was excellent, the host and services were very nice, the amenities were top‑class, and I truly enjoyed my stay; I would gladly return and highly recommend it! In the morning deer were playing near my car, which was amazing.

I almost never leave reviews unless a place is either amazing or awful, and this one is definitely amazing. The property itself is gorgeous, but what really sets it apart is Andy, the host. From the moment I arrived I could feel how much love and care he’s invested in the land and the house, and that warmth spills over to the guests in a way that’s hard to describe but impossible to miss. If you’re heading to the area, book this place—you won’t regret it.

All the breakfast food was great as well as the eggs they made to order. The chateau has been beautifully restored. It is on 140 acres in a wonderful setting. You don’t see any other structures. Yet if is less than 30 minutes to Bayeux, a little longer to the Normandy beaches and close to Caen. All the driving can be done on fast, lovely backroads. It was not a problem for us (a 75 year old and an 82 year old) but there is no elevator. The staff was happy to carry our bags to and from our room
