Conveniently located in the heart of Athenry, we were there for a family event and it was right next to everything we needed. It’s quaint, old‑school, and very clean. I stayed in room 5, which had a double and a single bed; the single was fine, but the double’s mattress was completely flat on one side with zero support. The topper was a waste of money and needs to be replaced.

What a gem – it was wonderful. The property is beautiful; I loved spotting the peacocks and donkeys when I walked next door. It was lovely just to stroll around. The steam room was fantastic, right there on that small pond, a beautiful morning to wake up to and start the day. The bus was very convenient, right outside the gate, and easy to get in and out of Dublin.

Convenient location for exploring the Galway area. The staff were friendly and the facility welcoming. The private parking was comfortable.

The value for money was terrible; the bedroom window wouldn't close, so a draft blew through the night. The bedside locker had lamps on both sides of the bed, but one lamp couldn't reach a socket. The kettle sat on a wooden unit with no socket, forcing it onto the floor. A light over bed 3 was broken, and the cornflakes at breakfast were stale—unacceptable for the price.

The room was small, as was the bathroom, but the décor was very cozy and beautifully English. Nothing else to mention.
