“la mauvaise foi de la propriétaire est insupportable.”
The room was advertised as 30 m² on their website but measured only 16.80 m²; the owner claimed she wasn’t responsible for such details and said she never measures hotel rooms, which I pointed out was obvious to me. She then brushed the size issue aside, calling it secondary to the “exceptional” location (even though I wasn’t sleeping outdoors). Before posting this I tried to resolve it with the booking service, which did nothing despite numerous emails promising full attention. In short, the establishment, with the approval or inaction of the booking platform, sells rooms at half the advertised size—a serious contractual breach, essentially theft and falsehood.
The hotel is a charming spot overlooking the Douro River, with a stunning view and a scenic pool. The room was comfortable, dinner was tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff were very helpful, though the price felt a bit high.
The view was breathtaking, the kitchen quality superb, and the peace among the vineyards descending toward the Douro was wonderful.
“Un moment hors du temps”
The welcome from Adérito was warm, the house was cozy and charming, the view was breathtaking, the pool overlooked the valley, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The view was amazing and the food was delicious, but the room rates were far higher than the amenities offered.
