“It's not worth going there. I do not recommend it.”
I liked what I saw in the photos and description, but that wasn’t what I found, so I can say that there was absolutely nothing I liked. Based on the description and photos posted on the website, it looked like I was heading to a cottage surrounded by nature, somewhere by a stream, far from the hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, it turned out that what I got wasn’t what was described. As it turned out, the cottage is located behind a private house—or, to put it simply, in the owner’s garden. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet used by sitting on a seat positioned over a bag and covering the waste with sawdust. The floor in the house was wooden and had nails sticking out of it, so you could cut your foot on them. Moreover, it was clear that the owner didn’t pay attention to cleanliness before the guests arrived. If he had, the house wouldn’t have been full of cobwebs and spiders, both there and in the kitchen, which is located outside. It was obvious that no one there did anything to clean it even a little. We stayed for only one night, even though we had paid for two. While we were having a bonfire and eating sausages, the owners came out into the garden to have their own dinner; so, if you plan to stay there, be prepared for the fact that you won’t get the privacy you paid for. We tried to get a refund for the unused night but were unsuccessful, as the owner was only willing to return the money in exchange for a positive review. We suggested that he update his listing description to avoid misleading people—offering not to leave a review at all in return—but he refused to refund the money, hence this review. When choosing to stay at Island A‑Frame, keep in mind that you aren’t going to a cool cabin set in the middle of nature, but rather to a glamping setup in the owner’s backyard. I’ll add a few photos from our stay so you can see what you’re getting into—because you certainly wouldn’t realize it from the existing description and photos.
