I stayed in a single room that was spacious and comfortable.

During my two nights, there was no disturbance from outside or inside noise, the room was very clean and the air was fresh, and there was plenty of space for hangers so I never had to rush. A water dispenser in the hallway let me make hot tea without a kettle, which was convenient. The front desk staff were friendly, and after check‑in the toiletries had run out but the amenities were well stocked, so I was comfortable. The TV had no low‑quality channels and I could watch wholesome entertainment, real‑time Tokyo rain‑damage news, and the exciting Japan‑Korea women’s table tennis at the Nagoya Asian Games. Most importantly, breakfast was high‑quality and the staff never showed irritation, allowing me to eat quietly. For the two nights, a free beer was provided, so after sightseeing I could relax with a drink. Odori Park, the clock tower, Sapporo Station, and shopping centers were all nearby, and there were many eateries around; especially at the mall’s food court I ordered Korean sundubu jjigae with a spiciness level of 4, which saved my life. The shuttle bus to Sapporo New Chitose Airport was within a 3–5 minute walk, so getting to the airport in the morning was hassle‑free. It was lucky to be able to rest at Richmond Hotel Sapporo Odori for the last two days of my trip, and it was a great finish. If I return to Sapporo, I’ll stay here again.

The room was clean, and everything that was provided was also clean—no complaints. The only minor issue I could think of is that the window view was blocked by buildings, so I couldn’t see anything.

The breakfast buffet was very tasty, the location was convenient for moving around, and the service explanations were thorough and easy to understand. There were no particular problems.

The staff were consistently helpful, but the bathroom exhaust fan was dusty and the breakfast buffet needed more variety each year.
