“Surprised at quality, and great alternative to hotel or apartment stay. Loved the location.”
The staff were friendly, and there were plenty of breakfast choices. The on‑site café was also great.

Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The location was ideal for getting to Cambridge, and the walk into town took about 10‑15 minutes and was stunning. The room was far too hot; I had to open the floor‑to‑ceiling sliding windows that open onto a courtyard, so someone could theoretically step in through the courtyard. Communication before my stay was confusing. I had booked parking in advance and it was confirmed, but on arrival I was told I couldn’t park because of a conference. They told me to take my stuff up to my room, settle in, and come back, and security kindly let me park anyway because they could see the agreement in an email sent to me beforehand.

The location was convenient. The bed was noisy. There was confusion at arrival when we were told we had two rooms. We had requested a twin or double bed, so we were given two separate rooms, one of which had a noisy double bed.

The location was great, within easy reach of central Cambridge. Breakfast was fantastic—much more than I expected and beautifully cooked. The porters were amazingly helpful and friendly. I liked everything except that an easy chair would have been a bonus.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the location was ideal because I was studying in the University Library. I appreciated the porter who assigned me a room that avoided many stairs. The garden is nice, though it could have been less dry. The shower didn’t work.
