“Bien ubicado, muy básico”
The location is great, access was easy, and the common areas are cool. It was very uncomfortable that our three‑person room had a sliding door to the bathroom that was far from the wall, leaving a visible gap of about 15 cm that made the frame open, so the bathroom was exposed. The people in the room could see you in the bathroom when you went in. That bathroom issue was extremely uncomfortable. Because of this, I would not stay again unless I’m alone in the room. The mattresses were also not very comfortable, but that was the main factor that shaped the experience.
“Alojamiento no recomendable en Gijón”
The location is excellent. The rooms are very small and the beds uncomfortable. There was a door in our rooms that didn’t fit well, the toilet didn’t work properly, and the shower didn’t provide hot water. Worst of all, the host’s contact was terrible. He demands a €150 deposit that never gets returned. He doesn’t answer calls, nor does he return messages on WhatsApp or Booking’s inbox. I hope Booking resolves this. I don’t recommend the place; be careful.
The stay offered good value for money and the location was very convenient. I’m not sure, but the value for money was still acceptable.
“CUIDADO. ESTAFA.”
Be careful with these guys, it’s a scam. Booking solved a problem with the “deposit” that the owner initially didn’t request, but then claimed the same night at 9 pm via calls and WhatsApp while I was staying at the hotel, saying he would return it in two days. I was there on 30 May, the owner disappeared without responding to me, Booking, or anyone else, leaving my money. Booking had to refund me. Also, it’s an apartment where the uncle rents out rooms.
The distance between the toilet and the sink was too tight. The bed was very low and instead of a single mattress it was a double bed made of two small mattresses joined together. There was a bad smell in the room and in the common areas.
