The stay in Almaty was absolutely disgusting. Everything people say in reviews is true; I wanted to give a zero but couldn’t. The shower that appeared in the pictures was only there for show; there was no hot water at all. Even in other rooms the mixer dripped constantly. There were no mosquito nets on the windows, and the area was full of mosquitoes in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. Loud music from a car wash below kept me awake, and the room was very dark with no overhead light. I’m not normally picky, but this guesthouse compiled a list of flaws and disadvantages.

A decent budget hotel, but the lack of air conditioning above +45°C made it very uncomfortable, and the cold water that runs out in the shower after washing cars was a hassle.

The only thing that mattered to me was how close the hotel is to the airport, which made waiting for the next flight easy. The room was tiny, the floors creaked, the courtyard was noisy, and the building looked very old; at least they should have put a 0.5‑liter bottle of water and a glass in the room.
