I really liked the pool, Jacuzzi, and play area. The best part was the kitchen—those spaghetti frutti di mare were the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and they offered us local dishes. It’s worth staying here before and after a safari.
The staff were very nice and helpful, the billiard table, chill zone, beautiful pool, large clean room, pleasant restaurant, and tasty food were all great. The linens were a bit uncomfortable, and while the location is close to the reserve, it’s a bit far from the town and on the opposite side of the reserve, so you can’t actually see elephants from the hotel.
“Perfekt til 1-2 nætter i forbindelse med safari”
The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even brought coffee and a local dessert on arrival, and arranged a lovely lunch box for our safari trip. The safari itself was fantastic, and the distance to the national park was very short. The shower didn’t work well and the tap water pressure was very low.
“Nice swimmingpool, pooltable and room in the middle of nowhere”
The pool, pool table, and spacious rooms were great. We were the only guests in the hotel, so the political situation and low season made us feel isolated. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so we had to eat there. The food took a long time to arrive and wasn’t very tasty.
We had an amazing stay at Sunrise Resort! The staff were extremely kind, efficient, and greeted us with a delicious welcome juice. We stayed in a beautiful, comfortable cottage with AC, surrounded by nature, and loved the fantastic swimming pool. The food was exquisite; we had breakfast and dinner, and the traditional Kottu we ate for dinner was absolutely delicious. The resort’s organization was flawless: they arranged a great safari in Udawalawe Park for us, as well as highly punctual taxi transfers from our previous location and to our next destination. The price is very fair and absolutely worth it for the high quality you get. We would definitely stay here again!
