How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The farm is beautiful, and Amanda is a very friendly hostess. Rooms in the stable accommodation have no windows, and because they’re close to other guests, they can be noisy. The working farm means the building is under renovation and farm machinery can be loud even on weekends; they stopped the renovations when I asked, but the olive orchard spraying began at 6 am on Sunday.

The staff were exceptionally helpful with our luggage and gave us plenty of information about the property. The bed was comfortable, and the shower and toilet were clean. The place feels rustic and peaceful. The self‑catering option was a communal kitchen, but it was well stocked and had a nice table for preparing and eating food.

We stayed at De Rustica Stable Farm and it was a great experience; the rooms are spotless, fully equipped, and feel welcoming right away. Amanda greeted us warmly and that really set the tone. The fireplace is a real highlight, fully furnished with everything needed for cozy evenings, and the shared kitchen between the stables is practical and well kept. The location is perfect—just a short drive from De Rust, remote enough to enjoy the quiet of the town at the foot of the Meiringspoort Pass.

The place is in a good spot, but not every room has air conditioning and the communal kitchen is only average.
