How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The bus stop sits right outside the front door, and the village or the train station are only 8 minutes away. Parking is available. The front desk is always staffed and friendly and fair. After arranging it, I was allowed to use the sauna, which was a bright spot in the weather. Breakfast costs 13 SFr and there’s German TV. The whole hotel feels like time has stopped, and there’s construction going on. Don’t expect luxury, but the rest is taken care of.

The price is good for the location. The room was fine, but everything could use a little refresh. The whole hotel has a retro feel, sometimes not in a good way. Everything worked, but a bit more effort could improve it. The restaurant was very good, I recommend it. The hotel uses central heating, yet the radiators were cold. The room wasn’t cold, but it would have been nice to adjust the temperature to our comfort. One bed creaked loudly and made noise with every movement.

The restaurant is great! The hotel staff barely speak German, the 4‑bedroom room is cramped and uncomfortable, the lift is out of service, the carpets are dirty, the furnishings are outdated, the breakfast hall is freezing, the buffet is sparse and its hygiene is questionable. The price‑to‑value ratio is off.

The staff were welcoming, and the location and ease of parking were perfect. We didn’t try the breakfast, but it looked well stocked and well presented. The room was clean and tidy. Good value for money. The place is in a state of dilapidation. The lift was out of order, the stair carpet needs replacing, and the rooms are tired and dated. There was some building work going on.

Good location, parking in front of the building. Unfortunately everything was a bit dirty. The staff were friendly, but they didn’t speak German, which we found rather unsettling at a place like this.
