“Don't stay here very ghetto for location. Should not be part of a wydam hotel”
The room was sticky with humidity; they had the air on 60 upon arrival. Windows were dirty with mold in the sills, gaps in windows. Hallways were dirty and smelly.
The comfy bed, having my own bathroom and shower, was great, and I even ordered DoorDash for myself 2 years ago.
“Keep moving”
When we arrived, a hotel staff member told us that the room we were given was their best whirlpool room and that it was immaculate and clean. Unfortunately, when we entered the room, that was not what we found. There were holes in the wall near the whirlpool, damaged floorboards, and a water-stained area on the bedroom ceiling that appeared to have mold on it. The whirlpool looked dirty and stained, as though it had not been properly cleaned. There was also a towel placed near the whirlpool by an area that appeared to be leaking, and the flooring there was peeling up. The couch was visibly dirty with noticeable marks and stains. The room was not appealing and did not look like the photos advertised online. We left briefly to get food, and when we returned, there was a roach inside the whirlpool tub. I took a picture and immediately showed it to the staff. They offered to move us to another whirlpool room or provide a full refund. We asked to see the other room, and it was significantly better and appeared to have been recently renovated. This made it even more disappointing that we had originally been told the first room was their best whirlpool room. A staff member also blamed the roach on other guests, stating that guests brought the roaches into the hotel and that they do not normally have pest problems. Regardless of how it got there, finding a roach in the whirlpool, combined with the condition of the original room, made us uncomfortable staying anywhere in the building. We decided to leave and stay at another hotel. We were only at this property for approximately an hour and did not stay the night
