The place has a brilliant location, a townhouse feel, friendly and helpful staff, and great value. The heatwave weekend was rough, and the bathroom could use an upgrade, but it was clean and functional.

The location is fine, but the hotel feels old‑fashioned, has no air‑conditioning, looks tatty, and the bedroom facilities were poor: the shower was old, the bathroom was very scruffy, towels had holes, and the kettle was already full. It’s not a boutique hotel.

The door wouldn’t lock, but we got a small refund.

The photos were misleading; the room was dirty, smelled awful, and had questionable marks on the bedding.

The place looked grubby and shabby, with wallpaper peeling, stained blinds, and an unpleasant odor.
