“Wonderful stay”

Considering that you don’t book a place like this in the middle of the jungle if you’re expecting a 5‑star Hilton, I found it absolutely perfect for the occasion. It was peaceful, quiet, surrounded by nature, with a swimming pool and an excellent restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the shower had hot water. I honestly expected it to be much rougher. It’s also just a 10‑minute walk from the Orangutan and Bear Centre and reasonably close to the Rainforest Discovery Centre. The restaurant, which is your only option in the area unless you have a car, is a little on the pricey side, if I have to say.

The staff were attentive (they helped with transport, and the laundry was a bit pricey but extra quick). The green surroundings were magnificent and the pool was very enjoyable after long hot days. The restaurant is very expensive, with small portions (don’t try the pizza, disappointment guaranteed).

“Precioso lugar”

The facilities were pretty, with a small pool and a rest and dining area, comfortable rooms with all the necessities, and a very good location 10 minutes from the orangutan sanctuary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect; no complaints.

“Great overall stay in the dorms, would stay again”

I appreciated the view over the forest and the wildlife that surrounded the place. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff were helpful with any questions. Dorms came with a towel and a very comfy mattress and pillow. A few things were a bit run down and needed attention—cleaning in the dorms was lacking, they do change beds but don’t sweep the floor, and the toilet/shower smells of urine. The same issue happened in the restaurant’s toilet. Food options were a little overpriced; a dish‑of‑the‑day deal would have been nice since they cater to backpackers.
