The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, refurbished in a style that matched the building. The bed was comfortable and the view over the historic rooftops of the town was pleasant. Being on River Stour, the location was wonderful, and the building was just a few steps from the pub and restaurant, so it was very quiet yet convenient. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The only thing I might have liked was a couple of small chairs in the room for reading, watching TV, or having coffee, and we never got to try the food, which could have raised the overall score.
