The warmest welcome on our Italian trip! The room faced a beautiful courtyard, making it very quiet. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine for one night. It’s located on a lovely riverside promenade. Dinner at the on‑site restaurant was tasty, and the staff were very friendly. We were able to lock our bicycles in a secure room.

The place sits in a convenient spot and stays very quiet; it’s not pricey and close enough to Milan for anyone who wants to go there. The shower could have been cleaner—the sealant was discoloured and should probably be replaced. The bedroom was small but still quiet.

Wir waren zu zweit auf einer Veloreise ans Meer mit unseren Bikes dort, kamen ca. 17.30 an. Kurz vorher hatte ich mit meinem Bike das Schlatkabel gerissen. Ich fragte Salvatore, ob er einen Velomechniker in Sesto Calende kenne. Er bejahte und sagte, er begleite mich grad dorthin. Zu Fuss gingen wir mitvdem Velo 10 Minuten durch vdie Altstadt und landeten schliesslich bei einer Garage, in der auch der besagte Velochaniker, der einzige der Stadt, eingemietet war. Nach kurzer Schilderung des Problems durch Salvatore schaute sich der Mechaniker die Situation an und ersetzte innert 10 Minuten vor Ort in meinem und Salvatores Beisein das Schaltkabel und zog ein neues ein. Nach einer hallben Stunde waren Salvatore und ich wieder im Hotel, und das Problem war einfach gelöst. Ohne das Engagement von Salvatore, des Leiters des Hotels, hätten wir möglicherweise einen Tag auf unserer Reise verloren. Das nennt sich buchstäblich Dienst am Kunden!. Nichts!

The hotel is great and the people are very friendly, with excellent breakfast and kitchen; it’s in the MOVIDA centre. When booking, I had luggage issues and asked by phone if there were parking spots in the hotel or nearby paid ones, especially not during the night when young people party. I was told I’d find paid parking nearby unless it was during the night. On arrival, I found the whole area blocked by a village festival, the PALIO, so I had to park over a kilometre away. They should have warned me about the PALIO so I could have considered switching hotels. Also the hotel is in central MOVIDA, where I had to stay until 00:30 with loud techno music, and then the young people under the hotel were chatting loudly. My little dog barked at the voices from the window. Otherwise it could have been a great place, especially if you like the nightlife. I paid the full amount with no option for cancellation or change. The booking fee included the stay tax and I shouldn’t have paid anything at the hotel, yet they charged me 2 euros per person per night.

A traumatically beautiful stay right on the riverbank, with a spacious room and bathroom lovingly decorated; the host was very friendly and the staff super kind and attentive, the service excellent, the breakfast great, and it’s very quiet in a pretty old town, with no sound from the busy road above.
