The spot was spot-on, right where you want to be and a quick escape from the city. The only hiccup was having to switch rooms and actually get some work done there.

Right next to every eatery on Wollongong’s Main Street, the place felt convenient. I mentioned it was my birthday, paid extra, and booked the “Navy view room,” yet it was tucked against the main road and you had to press your nose to the glass to spot a single navy ship—quite letdown, especially on a Sunday night when the hotel wasn’t full. The pool was nice, but finding it after hours was a chore because everything was dark. Morning brought loud noises from furniture moving upstairs and outside due to renovations, which the website never warned about. I’m glad I wasn’t an overseas tourist and that we only stayed one night. The price was too steep for what we got, especially the non‑existent navy view.
